Fund Manager's Suicide Threat Sparks Fraud Arrest

Law360, New York (October 13, 2010, 3:37 PM EDT) -- A Colorado hedge fund manager who sent a suicidal e-mail to his clients has been charged with running a Ponzi scheme through a firm called Mueller Capital Management LLC, which ensnared 65 investors and involved millions of dollars.

The district attorney for Denver County District Court charged Sean Michael Mueller with securities fraud, theft and racketeering, following a probe into the alleged scheme by the state's Division of Securities and the U.S. Secret Service.
