K-C Drags Diaper Rival's Supplier Into IP Row

Law360, New York (October 15, 2010, 1:33 PM EDT) -- Kimberly-Clark Worldwide Inc. has taken Fameccanica Data SpA to court for allegedly inducing First Quality Baby Products LLC’s patent infringement by supplying the machinery used to make First Quality’s toddler training pants.

Kimberly-Clark filed suit Thursday against Fameccanica in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, claiming the company, which specializes in equipment for the diaper industry, contributes to the infringement of three patents for “refastenable training pants.”
