Waste Oil Refiner Wants $50M From Supplier Over PCBs

Law360 (October 19, 2010, 5:58 PM EDT) -- Waste oil refiner Oil Re-Refining Co. has accused a supplier of sending it used oil contaminated with polychlorinated biphenyls in violation of contract guarantees, demanding $50 million in cleanup costs and damages.

Oregon-based Orrco filed suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, seeking to recover $5 million for the costs of cleanup and lost business, as well as $45 million in punitive damages and attorneys' fees and costs.
