Firm Secretary Injured By High Heels Claims Sex Bias

Law360, New York (October 18, 2010, 3:50 PM EDT) -- An ex-secretary at Honigman Miller Schwartz & Cohn LLP has claimed that she was harassed, forced to skip doctor's appointments and fired after she injured her back by tripping on a loose piece of carpet at the Michigan firm.

In a suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan Oct. 12 and amended Thursday, Denise Fitzhenry claimed the firm and its vice chairman refused to make reasonable accommodations for her back injury, demoted her and fired her.
