Idaho Settles AWP Claims With Sandoz For $1.7M

Law360, New York (October 18, 2010, 3:41 PM EDT) -- Generic-drug company Sandoz Inc. has agreed to pay $1.65 million to resolve claims brought by the Idaho Attorney General's Office related to allegations that the drugmaker inflated average wholesale price reports for various medications, causing the state to overpay on Medicaid reimbursements.

Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden announced the settlement Monday, saying it has been submitted for approval by the Fourth District Court in Ada County. As part of the settlement, Sandoz has admitted no liability or wrongdoing, the Attorney General's Office noted.
