ITC Mulls Adding Malaysia To Asia-Pacific Trade Pact

Law360, New York (October 19, 2010, 5:32 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has launched an investigation into the potential effects of including Malaysia as part of a free trade agreement that would cover the U.S. and countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Eight countries including the U.S. began negotiating the trade pact, known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, earlier in 2010, the ITC said Monday. Malaysia joined the talks on Oct. 5.
