QBE Faces Fresh Salvo Over Hurricane Wilma Coverage

Law360, New York (October 19, 2010, 5:48 PM EDT) -- Twelve condominium associations and apartment building owners in Florida have hit QBE Insurance Corp. with separate suits alleging the insurer wrongly denied coverage for damage caused by Hurricane Wilma in 2005.

Plaintiffs on Monday filed 12 lawsuits in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida alleging QBE severely undervalues policyholders' claims and obstructs the evaluation process in order to avoid meeting its coverage obligations.
