Ex-Zurich Exec Wins Dismissal In Noncompete Spat

Law360, New York (October 19, 2010, 2:28 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has tossed Zurich American Insurance Co.'s claims against a former regional sales manager whom it accused of conspiring with another ex-employee to breach a noncompete agreement and steal the insurer's customers.

Judge Glen E. Conrad of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia on Friday granted David Neuenschwander's motion to dismiss, finding that Zurich failed to support its allegations that Neuenschwander intentionally interfered with existing customer contracts or conspired and attempted to conspire to help violate a co-defendant's noncompete agreement...
