Guilty Plea Entered In Walter Reed Kickback Scheme

Law360, New York (March 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Already under scrutiny for the allegedly substandard conditions at its facilities, Walter Reed Army Medical Center suffered another blow Friday when a Rockville, Md. man pled guilty to participating in a contracts kickback scheme at the top U.S. military veterans hospital.

Leon Krachyna pled guilty to conspiracy to bribe a public official and defraud the Army, according to documents filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
