Pfizer Cleared In $3.5M Prempro Trial

Law360, New York (October 19, 2010, 7:14 PM EDT) -- A federal jury on Tuesday found against an Arkansas woman seeking $3.5 million in damages in the latest trial over Pfizer Inc.’s menopause drug Prempro, concluding that the company and its Wyeth unit properly warned the public about the drug’s health risks.

Margaret Wilson, 68, of Truman, Ark., failed to convince a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas that Wyeth concealed a known link between Prempro and an increased risk of breast cancer.
