Most Cos. Cut Outside Counsel Spending: Survey

Law360, New York (October 19, 2010, 7:40 PM EDT) -- In-house law departments have scaled back on their total legal spending for the first time in 10 years, with most of them slashing outside counsel costs, according to a new survey.

Hildebrandt Baker Robbins on Tuesday released its 2010 survey of 252 companies that found more than 60 percent of law departments cut legal spending on outside counsel worldwide between 2008 and 2009.
