E.U. Joins Attacks Against iTunes

Law360, New York (March 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Joining a bandwagon of consumer groups that have criticized Apple Inc.’s iTunes, a European commissioner on Monday denounced the company for bundling its online music store with its market-topping digital music player.

A number of countries, including Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany and France, have attacked the online music retailer in recent months in an effort to force the company to allow iTunes music to work without an iPod.
