VeriFone Moves Gas Payment Antitrust Suit Venue

Law360, New York (October 22, 2010, 5:34 PM EDT) -- Secure electronic payment solutions company VeriFone Systems Inc. has successfully changed the venue of an antitrust suit brought by a gas station pump seller and servicer that claims VeriFone has a monopoly on gas-pump payment systems in compliance with the new security standard for debit and credit cards, moving the case from state to federal court.

VeriFone removed Tiptons Equipment LLC's suit to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma on Thursday.
