BMW Faces Swiss Territory Allocation Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (October 26, 2010, 4:54 PM EDT) -- Switzerland's antitrust watchdog has launched an investigation into BMW AG based on concerns that the luxury car company might be blocking sales of its new vehicles in the country as part of a market allocation scheme.

The Swiss Competition Commission opened a probe into BMW on Monday, citing worries that the company was impeding Swiss consumers from buying new cars sold under the BMW and Mini brands.
