FDA Warns Mead Johnson Over Enfamil Packaging

Law360, New York (October 26, 2010, 4:13 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has warned Mead Johnson Nutrition Co. over its failure to provide the agency with the assembly specifications for a new plastic tub and lid used to store certain types of Enfamil powdered infant formula.

Due to this inability to give sufficient notice prior to the marketing of the new packaging, the company's Enfamil Premium Infant, Enfamil Gentlease and Enfamil AR powdered formulas are in violation of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and the Code of Federal Regulations, the...
