FDA Warns Drug Co. Over Misleading Info On Website

Law360, New York (October 27, 2010, 1:16 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning letter to AMAG Pharmaceuticals Inc. over the promotion of two of its drugs on company websites.

According to the Oct. 18 letter, released on the FDA's website Tuesday, the Web pages for GastroMARK and Feraheme omitted risks associated with the drugs and misleadingly suggested unapproved new uses for the products.

As such, the FDA said the websites misbrand the drugs in violation of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
