Plant Upgrades Allowed In ND Water Supply Conflict

Law360, New York (October 26, 2010, 2:59 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has authorized North Dakota to upgrade a water treatment plant in a long-running dispute over a new water supply system that Missouri and the Canadian province of Manitoba contend could have adverse environmental effects.

Judge Rosemary M. Collyer of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued the order Monday, about seven months after she sided with Missouri and Manitoba in March and ordered federal authorities to take another look at the environmental impacts of the proposed water system.
