Chrysler, Chinese Cos. End ITC Feud Over Jeep Patent

Law360, New York (October 28, 2010, 3:59 PM EDT) -- Chrysler Group LLC has agreed to settle its complaint accusing Chinese manufacturers and several U.S.-based distributors of infringing a patent covering the automaker's Jeep Hurricane concept vehicle.

According to a proposed consent order submitted to the U.S. International Trade Commission on Tuesday, the manufacturers and distributors will stop importing and selling any products that allegedly infringe Chrysler's patent. The defendants, who dispute Chrysler's claims, also agreed not to challenge the validity of Chrysler's patent.
