1st-Day Motions Approved In Emivest Bankruptcy

Law360, New York (October 27, 2010, 5:14 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has approved a slew of first-day motions that will help Emivest Aerospace Corp., which recently sold a corporate jet to actor Morgan Freeman, stay in business as it seeks to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Judge Mary F. Walrath of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware signed off on the motions Monday. The aviation company said winning approval of the motions was crucial for it to continue its business operations during the bankruptcy.
