Spain Raids Paper Cos. In Price-Fixing Probe

Law360, New York (October 27, 2010, 4:31 PM EDT) -- Spain's competition watchdog has raided several envelope and paper companies over the past week based on concerns that manufacturers, distributors and vendors have fixed prices and allocated customers for the paper products.

From Oct. 19 through Wednesday, the Comision Nacional de la Competencia carried out a series of inspections at the headquarters of major companies that make and sell envelopes as part of a probe into the Spanish paper market, following on the heels of similar raids conducted by the European Commission
