Austrian High Court Affirms €1.5M Chemical Cartel Fine

Law360, New York (October 29, 2010, 4:09 PM EDT) -- Austria's highest court has upheld €1.5 million ($2.1 million) in fines against several printing chemicals producers for fixing prices and allocating customers for more than a decade.

The Austrian Supreme Court affirmed the penalties against Donau Chemie AG, DC Druck-Chemie Sud GmbH & Co. KG, Brenntag Austria Holding GmbH and Ashland-Sudchemie-Kernfest GmbH that were originally handed down by the Cartel Court in April, Austria's Federal Competition Authority, or BWB, said Friday.
