Apple Targets Smartphones In Motorola IP Feud

Law360, New York (November 1, 2010, 12:30 PM EDT) -- Accused of infringing Motorola Inc.’s patent portfolio, Apple Inc. has returned fire, taking Motorola to court for allegedly appropriating touch-screen interface technology covered by three patents.

The complaint, filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, claims that Motorola’s popular smartphones incorporate software for computer system displays that infringe three Apple patents.
