Demand For Law Firm Services Dropped In 3Q: Report

Law360, New York (November 2, 2010, 4:01 PM EDT) -- Demand for law firm services dropped slightly in the third quarter as the overall economy appeared to remain weak and the recovery hit a “soft patch,” consulting firm Hildebrandt Baker Robbins said in its latest quarterly report.

The company said Monday that its Peer Monitor Economic Index, which scores law firm profitability by measuring law firm rates, demand, productivity and expenses, dropped from 54 in the second quarter to 52 in the third quarter.

A score of 65 or greater indicates strong law firm market performance....
