Idaho Court OKs Conoco Bid To Ship Refinery Parts

Law360, New York (November 2, 2010, 3:23 PM EDT) -- The Idaho Supreme Court has refused to block permits for ConocoPhillips Co. to move refinery parts down a scenic highway, ruling that it doesn't have jurisdiction over the case.

The permits that the Idaho Transportation Department issued allowing ConocoPhillips to transport two-lane-wide coke drums down a highway through the Clearwater National Forest can't be considered by the state court because no statute authorizes it, Justice Warren E. Jones wrote for the 3-2 majority in a decision issued Monday.
