Examiner's Report Gives OK To WaMu Settlement

Law360, New York (November 2, 2010, 12:50 PM EDT) -- A settlement between Washington Mutual Inc., JPMorgan Chase & Co. and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. was reasonable and not made in bad faith, an examiner's report has concluded, dealing a blow to shareholders who opposed the deal.

McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP partner Joshua R. Hochberg, appointed in July to probe the settlement, filed his 369-page final report on the biggest bank failure in history on Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
