AGs To Take On Feds Over States' Rights Post-Election

Law360, New York (November 3, 2010, 8:22 PM EDT) -- With five state attorney general offices shifting from Democratic to Republican hands — including a key battleground state in the nation's immigration debate — some lawyers say they expect the newly minted prosecutors to launch more attacks on federal laws they believe intrude on states' rights.

Before Tuesday's midterm elections, the U.S. had 32 Democrats and 18 Republicans in state attorney general offices, according to the National Association of Attorneys General.
