Russian High Court Reinstates Lukoil Antitrust Fine

Law360, New York (November 3, 2010, 4:45 PM EDT) -- Russia's antitrust regulator has one year to launch proceedings against companies that fail to provide information requested during an investigation, the country's highest commercial court has ruled, reinstating a 500,000 ruble ($16,000) fine against Lukoil OJSC.

The Presidium of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation rejected a lower court's decision backing a two-month limit for the Federal Antimonopoly Service to bring administrative proceedings against companies for failing to cooperate, the regulator said Tuesday.
