Suit Over Arch Coal Mine In W.Va. Stayed Until Feb.

Law360, New York (November 4, 2010, 1:53 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has further stayed an environmental group's challenge to a permit for an Arch Coal Inc. mountain-top removal coal mine in West Virginia to allow the U.S. Environmental Agency to complete its review of the project.

Judge Robert C. Chambers of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia on Tuesday granted the U.S.'s request to stay the suit until Feb. 22 over the objections of Arch unit Mingo Logan Coal Co., which holds the permit.
