Sierra Club, Mosaic Reach Partial Deal In Mine Suit

Law360, New York (November 5, 2010, 1:08 PM EDT) -- The Sierra Club and Mosaic Co. have reached a partial settlement allowing limited mining to proceed at a Florida phosphate mine in exchange for the preservation of 14.3 acres of wetlands.

Judge Henry Lee Adams Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida approved the agreement Wednesday, resolving Mosaic Fertilizer LLC's motion for a limited stay of a preliminary injunction order issued in the case.
