Kroes Calls On EU To Fix Broken Copyright System

Law360, New York (November 5, 2010, 1:40 PM EDT) -- The European copyright model is broken and needs to be reworked to better align with the digital age, European Union Digital Agenda Commissioner Neelie Kroes said Friday.

In a speech given in Avignon, France, Kroes urged Europeans to look beyond national and corporate self-interests in order to establish a new approach to dealing with copyright issues.
