Publisher Sues Deutsche Bank Over Postbank Deal

Law360, New York (November 5, 2010, 6:38 PM EDT) -- German publisher Effecten-Spiegel AG said Friday that it had sued Deutsche Bank AG over its recent bid to take over Deutsche Postbank AG for €25 ($35) a share, contending the offer cheats the latter bank's shareholders out of €1.6 billion.

Effecten-Spiegel filed the lawsuit in the Regional Court Frankfurt am Main, asking that Deutsche Bank, which owned nearly 30 percent of Postbank as of Oct.7, pay €49.42 for each remaining share.
