Spain Opens Another Competition Probe Into Endesa

Law360, New York (November 5, 2010, 2:05 PM EDT) -- Spain’s antitrust regulator has decided to take action against major electricity market player Endesa SA for allegedly anti-competitive customer terms and conditions, following investigations the regulator launched earlier this year.

The National Competition Commission, or CNC, announced Friday that its Investigations Division had opened formal proceedings against Endesa unit Endesa Energia XXI SL for possible anti-competitive conduct in amending terms and conditions applied to certain customers without their express consent.
