Ex-Techsol President Sentenced To Home Detention

Law360, New York (November 8, 2010, 2:49 PM EST) -- The former president of Techsol Chemical Co. Inc. has been sentenced to six months of home detention and five years' probation for his role in a chemical spill that caused the evacuation of homes and the closure of schools, roads, stores and a local sewage treatment plant.

James R. Holt Jr. was also ordered to pay about $14,000 in restitution to the Huntington Sanitary Board Wastewater Treatment Plant and to make reasonable payments toward a previous $3 million consent decree, according to a sentence imposed Friday...
