MBC Leader Asks Again To Sever Attorney's Case

Law360, New York (November 8, 2010, 1:58 PM EST) -- Counsel for Mutual Benefits Corp. co-founder Joel Steinger have reiterated their argument that a former MBC attorney should be severed from the case against Steinger and other MBC executives over an alleged $837 million insurance scheme so that the attorney can testify on behalf of Steinger.

Testimony from former MBC attorney Michael McNerney may not be enough to prove Steinger’s innocence, but it could at least prove Steinger was not MBC's shadow president and the orchestrator of the scheme, as prosecutors claim, according to a reply...
