ConocoPhillips Subpoenaed Over Spill

Law360, New York (March 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- ConocoPhillips has been subpoenaed in the ongoing federal investigation into pipeline corrosion in Alaska’s North Slope and whether safety shortcuts contributed to last year’s Prudhoe Bay oil spill.

ConocoPhillips revealed on Sunday that the Department of Justice had subpoenaed 11 years of records from ConocoPhillips in relation to a BP Plc pipeline that had leaked at least 267,000 gallons of oil into Alaska’s North Slope.
