Bridge-Painting Co. Fined For Worker Falling Deaths

Law360, New York (November 10, 2010, 2:57 PM EST) -- The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission has upheld the issuance of $871,500 in fines levied on a Missouri bridge-painting company after two workers separately fell to their deaths in 2006 from the same scaffold platform while making repairs on a Kansas City, Mo., bridge.

The OSHRC has ruled in favor of upholding citations issued to Thomas Industrial Coatings Inc. of Pevely, Mo., following an investigation into the two deaths, the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration said Tuesday.
