EPA To Set New Rules On Power Plant Pollution

Law360, New York (November 12, 2010, 1:08 PM EST) -- Under pressure from the Sierra Club and others to update its regulatory regime on wastewater effluent from coal-fired power plants, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has agreed to benchmarks in 2012 and 2014 that will pave the way for new rulemaking on the amount of pollution generation facilities can dump into streams and rivers.
