Hynix, Toshiba Lay Down Swords, Sign Patent Deal

Law360, New York (March 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Putting to rest over five years of legal combat over NAND flash memory chip patents, Toshiba Corp. and Hynix Semiconductor Inc. agreed on Tuesday to sign cross-licensing agreements for their products.

A spokesman for Hynix did not reveal details of the cross-licensing agreement, only saying the company would still pay Toshiba royalties for its patents and that “certain kinds of products would be shipped to Toshiba.”
