EU Court Nixes Deutsche Bahn Trademark Appeals

Law360, New York (November 12, 2010, 2:25 PM EST) -- Deutsche Bahn AG lost a bid to trademark its red and gray signs Friday after a European Union court ruled on appeal that there was nothing distinctive enough about the combination to justify giving the German rail carrier a monopoly for a combination of colors commonly used in that industry.
