Universal Health Agrees To Divest For $3.1B PSI Deal

Law360, New York (November 15, 2010, 7:00 PM EST) -- Universal Health Services Inc. has completed its $3.1 billion acquisition of Psychiatric Solutions Inc. following the settlement of antitrust claims brought by the Federal Trade Commission, attorneys general in Delaware and Nevada, and U.S. Department of Justice officials in Puerto Rico.

The settlement, announced Monday by the FTC, will require Universal Health to sell 15 facilities, including two inpatient hospitals in Las Vegas, one inpatient hospital in Delaware, and one inpatient hospital and eleven affiliated outpatient clinics in Puerto Rico.
