ITC To Probe Imports Of Point-Of-Sale Technology

Law360 (September 3, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) has decided to investigate a complaint by Verve LLC against several rivals that the company says import patent-infringing point of sale terminals for credit and debit transactions.

The complaint names as respondents Hypercom Corporation; Lipman Electrical Engineering, Ltd; Trintech; Verifone, Inc.; Ingenico Corp. and Ingenico of France; Thales Group of France; Thales e-Transactions, Inc. and CyberNet, Inc. of South Korea, according to Verve.
