Canada, India Launch Free Trade Negotiations

Law360, New York (November 16, 2010, 12:54 PM EST) -- Canada and India began negotiations to set up a free trade agreement Tuesday in a bid to increase bilateral trade and boost both countries' economies.

The talks started with Canadian International Trade Minister Peter Van Loan's visit to New Delhi with India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry Anand Sharma on Tuesday amid the two countries' ongoing efforts to strengthen their trade ties.
