$3M Bail Set For Doctor Accused Of Tipping Off Fund

Law360, New York (November 17, 2010, 2:15 PM EST) -- A federal judge has set bail at $3 million for Yves M. Benhamou, a French doctor accused of helping a hedge fund avoid $30 million losses by passing along tips about trials for Human Genome Sciences Inc.'s drug Albuferon.

Magistrate Judge Frank Maas agreed to the bond amount at a hearing Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, specifying that Benhamou should remain under home incarceration in a New York apartment once released.
