US Pushes For Trial In FCPA Case Against Terra Exec

Law360, New York (November 18, 2010, 6:06 PM EST) -- Prosecutors have urged a federal judge to rebuff a former Terra Telecommunications Corp. president's efforts to have the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act case against him nixed, claiming that the evidence overcomes his objections.

The U.S. government filed a pair of responses Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida to ex-Terra President Joel Esquenazi's motions to dismiss the charges against him, maintaining that the case should move forward to trial.
