Judge Casts Veil Of Secrecy Over Nvidia Case

Law360 (March 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge has drawn fire from reporters after ordering confidentiality in a high-stakes trial over whether Nvidia Corp. owes money to creditors for its 2001 acquisition of a struggling graphics chip manufacturer.

Judge Roger Efremsky prohibited reporters on Wednesday from covering the trial in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California, unless they sign a confidentiality agreement.
