Sens. Seek To Renew Diesel Emissions Reduction Bill

Law360, New York (November 19, 2010, 4:21 PM EST) -- Sens. Tom Carper, D-Del., and George Voinovich, R-Ohio, have introduced a bill to extend for another five years a $1 billion grant and loan program established in 2005 to help companies and local governments reduce diesel emissions.

The senators introduced the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act of 2010 during the Senate's lame duck session Thursday. Sens. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., and James Inhofe, R-Okla., leaders of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, signed on as co-sponsors along with 17 other senators.
