BP Seeks Quick Win In Fight Over Oil Duty Refunds

Law360, New York (November 22, 2010, 5:08 PM EST) -- Crude oil is crude oil, a BP PLC subsidiary has argued in a legal battle with U.S. Customs and Border Protection over customs drawbacks the oil giant says it deserves.

BP Oil Supply Co., which advanced the argument in a motion for summary judgment filed Friday in the U.S. Court of International Trade, hopes to win a case that is more than three years old against the government over tariffs assessed on its crude oil imports.
