Product Liability Regulation To Watch In 2011

Law360, New York (December 27, 2010, 12:11 PM EST) -- Product liability attorneys will be watching closely in 2011 as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration writes rules to implement legislation passed to revamp food safety regulation and beef up the agency's power to police producers domestically and abroad.

In addition to the Food Safety Modernization Act, product liability lawyers are also preparing for the implementation in 2011 of controversial provisions of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, as well as consumer laws in Australia and Canada that could create major compliance headaches for U.S. manufacturers....
