Sierra Club Wins Bid To Join DTE Power Plant Fight

Law360, New York (November 24, 2010, 2:43 PM EST) -- The Natural Resources Defense Council and the Sierra Club have won a bid to join as plaintiffs in the U.S. government's suit claiming DTE Energy Co. modified a coal-fired power plant in Michigan without a permit and failed to install proper pollution controls.

Judge Bernard A. Friedman granted the motion to intervene Tuesday in the the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, where the U.S. filed its Clean Air Act case against DTE in August.
