J&J Recalls 9M Tylenol Meds Over Missing Alcohol Label

Law360, New York (November 24, 2010, 4:26 PM EST) -- Pharmaceutical  maker Johnson & Johnson announced Wednesday afternoon that it would haul in 9.3 million eight-ounce bottles of Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom medicine to update their front panels with alcohol content disclosures.  


The recall affects products sold in the U.S. at the wholesale and retail level by Johnson & Johnson McNeil Consumer Healthcare.


The company initiated the recall alongside McNeil and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration after a review revealed that alcohol included in certain flavoring agents was listed as an inactive ingredient...
